Spring and Summer are the most popular times to visit the area, and it's no surprise. The threat of snow is gone by mid April and although you may have some cloudy days or fog and rain, there are still plenty of bright sunny days too. Streams and waterfalls are running fast and full. Days are warm, but nights can still be quite cool. It's wonderfully refreshing to wake up to the sunrise and clean mountain air drifting through your bedroom.

As you enjoy your breakfast, you can sit comfortably in the dining area or on the decks, soak up the morning sun and witness the changing forest flora and fauna all around you. Then it's off to explore the many breathtaking views that await you in and around Yosemite. You'll need to make your reservations early for visits during these seasons!

Usually by the Memorial Day weekend, the rain is gone and doesn't return until Fall. The humidity drops, the forest dries out, and just about every day is bright and sunny. Our mountain home does not have air conditioning - it rarely needs it. During the warmest months you might want open some windows to encourage cross-ventilation. But the surrounding forest will provide you with cool shade all day long.
